Qulkhwani of Saniya Haq Friday

The qulkhwani of Saniya Haq, a writer and teacher, will be held at her home at Lalmatia in the capital on Friday.

Saniya, a former teacher of Nabokumar School, breathed her last at her residence on March 9. She was 83, says a press release. Saniya, wife of late Mozammel Haq, one of the founders and news editor of now defunct daily Dainik Bangla, left behind two daughters.

One of her daughters,Rina Sultana Kibria, is a renowned artist of Bangladesh Television, while the other,Rita Mohshina, is a former officer of Dutch Bangla Bank. Her family requested all relatives and well-wishers to attend the prayers for the departed soul.
