Qulkhwani

The qulkhwani of Ashfaq Ahmed, an eminent finance professional, will be held today after the Asr prayers in Gulshan Azad Mosque in the capital.

Ashfaq, who had a long and distinguished career with leading NBFIs in Bangladesh as well as an independent advisor, died on Wednesday at a city hospital. He was 50.

He left behind his wife, eminent lawyer Nihad Kabir, his sister Zeenat Ahmed, and his brother Ashraf Ahmed. He was the eldest son of late Nuruddin Ahmed, former president of DCCI, FBCCI and Dhaka Club and Syeda Anisa Jahan.

Ashfaq was the son-in-law of late Ahmadul Kabir, chief editor and owner of Daily Sangbad, and Laila Kabir, former president of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

His family has requested all to attend the qulkhwani and pray for his departed soul.
