Dinajpur girl rapists to be tried in speedy trial tribunal: Anisul

Law Minister Anisul Huq today assured quick trial of all sensational murder and rape cases including the rape case of five-year-old Parbatipur girl.  

The prosecution will be instructed to place arguments before the trial courts praying the highest punishment for offenders if evidence is found against them, so that nobody can dare to commit such incidents in future, he said.

Law Minister Anisul came up with the remark while talking to reporters after attending and inauguration of a training course for joint district judges at the Judicial Administration Training Institute in Dhaka.

The government will take steps to prepare paper books of the sensational murder cases quickly so that those can be disposed of speedily at the High Court, he added.

The government will make Bangladesh Government Press well equipped in such manner to prepare paper books of the cases swiftly. 

A paper book contains all the documents of evidence, orders, judgment, and other relevant issues of a lower court in a case.

Replying to a question, the minister said his ministry will reply very soon to a letter of the Supreme Court asking the government to relocate the International Crimes Tribunal from the old High Court building by October 31.
