Qamrul Islam passes away

Qamrul Islam, founder president of Bangladesh Roller Skating Federation, passed away on Thursday, March 08, 2018 aged 80, according to a press release.

He left behind his wife, a daughter and a son..

He was also the general secretary of Bangladesh Athletics Federation in 1980-1982.

He was known as the “fastest man” of the then East Pakistan Olympics, and was the torch bearer in 1958 and 1962.

In his professional career he served in several projects of The World Bank and as Advisor to a few local conglomerates.
