Punishment for Tania's killers sought

Residents of Aminbazar area yesterday staged demonstration beside Dhaka –Aricha highway in Savar demanding capital punishment for the killers of Tania Akter Liza.

Police recovered the decomposed body of Tania, 29, daughter of Hazrat Ali of Shalehopur village, from the Turag river on Monday, five days after she went missing. Tania was a family welfare assistant of Aminbazar Community Clinic.

Primary investigation suggests that arrestees--one Faruk and his father Mozibor Rahman were involved in the murder.

Police are trying to arrest three other accused including Apu and his mother.
