Prof Nurul Amin made Emeritus Professor

Dr ATM Nurul Amin has been bestowed with the title of Emeritus Professor of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), an internationally reputed institution of higher learning and research at master's and PhD level.

AIT President Prof Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai announced it on Thursday, following its approval by the AIT board of trustees, said a press release.

The award is conferred on those who have achieved outstanding international professional status and have made significant academic contributions to the institute through teaching, publications and professional works.

Even after retiring from AIT, Prof Amin continued to remain active in the academe and is currently a professor and chairperson of the economics and social sciences department at Brac University.
