Prof Hasan Azizul, young writer Noman get lit awards

Prof Hasan Azizul Haque and Swakrito Noman have been declared as the recipients of Exim Bank-Anyadin Humayun Ahmed Sahitya Puraskar-2016. 

Veteran writer Prof Haque got the award for his contributions to Bangla literature and Noman for his book "Kalkeuter Suk" in young writer category.

Their names were announced yesterday at a press conference at the capital's Bangla Academy, which was addressed by Anyadin Editor Mazharul Islam and Exim Bank Assistant Vice President Sanjib Chatterjee, among others.

The awards will be handed over to them on November 12.

Haque will get Tk 5 lakh and Noman Tk 1 lakh alongside crests and certificates. Some 80 young writers submitted their books in the young writer category.
