Probe finds head teacher guilty of making sexual advances

A probe team, formed to investigate a sexual harassment complaint against the head teacher of 22 No Chardarial Govt Primary School in Barisal, yesterday submitted its report.

The team, comprising Assistant Upazila Education Officers (UEOs) Shahida Begum and Tania Rahman, found the head teacher guilty. 

On Sunday, five female teachers of the school submitted a written complaint to Bakerganj UEO Saiful Alam accusing Palash Saha of using obscene words and gesture with them, and inviting them for chat when he remained alone at his office. The probe report will be sent to the higher authorities, said Saiful.

However, denying all the allegations, Palash said the female teachers brought the “false allegation” as he was being strict with them for taking classes sincerely.
