Dhaka police formed a three-member probe body into the blast at Old Dhaka's Shia Muslim community headquarters that killed one person early today.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Commissioner Sheikh Maruf Hassan will be leading the committee and will report within seven working days.

Muntasirul Islam, deputy commissioner (media), of the DMP told The Daily Star of the update and assured that police are trying to find the perpetrators.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has already said that they suspect the attack was premeditated. He hoped to catch the culprits through close circuit camera footages.

The attack took place around 1:00am early today moments before the Shia community was planning to bring out their Tajia procession marking the holy Ashura.

A 14-year old boy died in the blasts. About 40 others were injured.

The attack took place hours after suicidal blasts tore through a Shia Muslim community mosque in Pakistan's Beluchhisthan killing at least 10 people.
