Prisoner dies at CMCH

A prisoner died during treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) early yesterday.

Nizam Uddin, 35, son of Jafar Alam, of Paschim Kona Bari of Chakoria upazila in Cox's Bazar, was admitted to the hospital on February 9 for Jaundice and other liver diseases, said Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Alauddin Talukdar of CMCH.

Chittagong Central Jail's Deputy Jailor MD Fakhruddin said Nazim came to the jail on February 9 after being sentenced to six-month imprisonment in a cheque forgery case filed in Cox's Bazar.
