Principal Ibrahim Khan Memorial Lecture held at DU

Principal Ibrahim Khan Memorial Lecture 2015 was held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University yesterday.

Professor Emeritus Anisuzzaman delivered the memorial lecture titled “Shadows of Principal Ibrahim Khan”.

Khaleda Habib, daughter of Ibrahim Khan and also donor of Principal Ibrahim Khan Trust, and DU Vice Chancellor Prof Arefin Siddique spoke on the occasion.

The trust every year awards the student of Bengali department of the university who secure the first position in honours examination.

Principal Ibrahim Khan actively participated in Khelafat Andolon, Asohojog Andolon and Rayet Mohajon Birodhi Andolon. He was elected as the member of the Provincial Assembly in 1945 and Constituent Assembly in 1953 respectively. In 1962, he was elected as a member of the national assembly (MNA).
