Presidency University signs MoU with 5 corporate houses

Presidency University yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with five corporate houses at its Gulshan campus in the capital. Under the initiative, the companies will offer part-time employment and paid internship opportunities to the students. Presidency University yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with five corporate houses at its Gulshan campus in the capital.

Under the initiative, the companies -- Unimart, Lanka Bangla Securities Ltd, Envoy Textiles Limited, Pran-RFL group and Hosaf Group -- will offer part-time employment and paid internship opportunities to the students.

The MoU signing took place as part of the “Co-operative Education Program” of the university to help the students with their educational expenses, said a press release.

The signing ceremony was attended by Rokia Afzal Rahman, chairperson of the university's board of trustees; Prof Dr Matiur Rahman, its vice-chancellor; deans and department heads, faculty members, students and representatives from the respective corporate houses.
