PM returns home from Switzerland

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home yesterday wrapping up her five-day official visit to Switzerland to attend the 47th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

An Emirates flight carrying the premier and her entourage landed at the Dhaka airport at 10:55am.

The four-day WEF meeting was held on January 17-20 in Davos in the eastern Alps region of Switzerland, themed “Responsive and Responsible Leadership”.

Hasina attended the opening ceremony of the 47th annual meeting and the opening plenary of the WEF at the Congress Centre in Davos.

Hasina along with former US vice president Al Gore, CEO of the HSBC Stuart Gulliver, Cofco Agri CEO Jingtao Chi took part in a plenary session “Leading the Fight against Climate Change” and delivered her speech.
