Pharmacy shop owner killed by employee in Dhaka

A pharmacy shop owner was killed in a scissor attack allegedly by his employee at Uttar Baddar.

A pharmacy shop owner was killed in a scissor attack allegedly by his employee at Uttar Baddar of Dhaka this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Awal, 55, a resident of Uttar Badda, Badda Police Statio’sn officer-in-charge (investigation) Nazrul Islam told The Daily Star.

The incident took place around 1pm following an altercation between Awal and with his employee Fakhrul, 20, as the boy sold a medicine with Tk 110 instead of Tk 120.

At one stage, Fakhrul hit different parts of Awal’s body with a scissor, leaving him injured.

He was taken to a local hospital where doctors declared him dead, said the OC.

Meanwhile, locals caught Fakhrul at red hand and handed over to police, added the OC.
