Commuters suffer for Airport Road chaos

Hundreds of people have been walking through Airport Road in Dhaka to reach their destinations due to a huge traffic congestion following a clash between two factions of Tabligh Jamaat.

Many passengers of international or domestic flights were seen walking with luggage in Farmgate, Mohakhali and Banani areas, our staff correspondent reports from the spot around today 12:45pm.

Some of the airport-bound passengers took motorbikes of Pathao to reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Many commuters on Kuril-Biswa Road got down from the vehicles and started walking.

The correspondent talked with an airline passenger Akhter Hossain, 41,who was waking all the way to the airport from Mohakhali as he has to catch his flight to Chattogram at 3:00pm.

Akhter said he began walking as his vehicle got stuck in the traffic jam. He came from Dhanmondi-27 starting at 11:30am.
