Palestine President Abbas due Sunday

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will visit Dhaka on early Sunday to provide the latest updates regarding his country’s situation to Bangladesh.

His delegation will be landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the first stop-over to three other Asian countries at 12:30am, said a press release of the Palestine mission in Dhaka today.

Foreign Minister AH Mahmud Ali and state minister for energy and power Nasrul Hamid will receive Mahmoud Abbas at the airport.

The visiting delegation will have a meeting with Foreign Minister Mahmud Ali and inform on the latest development of Israeli aggression on Palestine, the press release said.

Abbas has been the chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) since November 11, 2004 and Palestinian President since January 15, 2005.
