Palestine President visits Bangabandhu Museum

Visiting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas today visited the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi 32 in Dhaka and paid homage to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Radwan Mujib Siddiq, grandson of Bangabandhu received him during the visit and briefed him about the history of the museum, according to an official of the museum.

During his stay, Abbas placed wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu and penned a remark on the visitor’s notebook at the museum.

Earlier, the Palestine president went to the National Mausoleum in Savar and placed paid tributes to the martyrs who made their supreme sacrifices during the 1971 Liberation War, reports BSS.

Palestine president arrived in Dhaka by a special flight, at the invitation of the President Abdul Hamid, yesterday afternoon.
