Over 9kg gold seized from Biman flight in Dhaka

Customs officials seized 80 gold bars weighing 9.28 kilogrammes from the toilet of Biman Bangladesh flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka this morning.

The gold bars were found from flight BG 248, which arrived at the airport from Dubai.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of customs found the gold bars in abandoned condition inside a toilet of the aircraft while conducting an operation around 8:40 am, the press release adds.

The market price of the seized gold is around Tk 5 crore, the release also says.
