Over 700 hajj aspirants drop out this year

Around 700 Bangladeshi hajj aspirants will not be able to go to Saudi Arabia for performing hajj this year on several grounds including illness.

Saiful Islam director of the Ashkona Hajj Camp told this to The Daily Star this afternoon.

Meanwhile, all necessary papers including visas of 1, 26,498 hajj pilgrims have already been completed, he said.

A total of 1, 27, 198 pilgrims were scheduled to go to Saudi Arabia for performing hajj this year, the official added.
