Only two people killed during my presidency

Drawing a parallel between the current government and his regime, former military ruler HM Ershad yesterday said only Nur Hossain and Dr Shamsul Alam Khan Milon, two anti-autocracy activists, were killed during his presidency, while hundreds were being killed every day in this country now.

The Jatiya Party chairman said this at a public gathering in Sylhet city yesterday, where he met with top party leaders and announced the official launch of the party's campaign for the next national election.
