One killed, two hurt in Ctg storm

A man was killed and two others were injured as a portion of corrugated tin blew away and hit them amid a storm in Fishery Ghat area near the river Karnaphuli in Chittagong city yesterday.

The storm lasted for less than a minute.

The deceased, Russell Dey, 26, son of Ranjit Dey, hailed from Bhatikhine village in Patiya upazila, said police.

Critically injured Abdul Khaleque, 40, and Syedul Alam, 60, were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, said Kotwali Police Station Sub-inspector Abdus Sobhan.

Russell was declared dead at the hospital, said Jahirul Islam, in-charge of CMCH Police Camp.
