Obituary

Sudhendu Kumar Das, a retired school teacher, and father of Subrata Das, former Sust correspondent of The Daily Star, passed away at the capital's Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical University on Wednesday, aged 70. He left behind a son and four daughters.

He was a former senior teacher of Gazipur Chupair High School, organiser of Mukti Sangram Parishad in 1971, and a former general secretary of Kaliganj upazila Secondary Teacher Samity.
