Obaidul asks RMG owners to grant workers leave in phases

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader yesterday urged the authorities of the Savar and Gazipur garment factories to grant their workers Eid-ul-Azha leave in alternate phases for the sake of eased traffic.

He was talking to journalists during his visit to the construction site of the Gazipur-Tangail four-lane highway in Gazipur.

Obaidul said the government has taken a decision not to allow any cattle markets on or near the highways and also asked for stopping the unfit vehicles carrying cattle at the very start of their journey.
