NSU suspends classes, IUB declares Eid vacation

Brac University to stay closed Monday

Amid student protests against VAT on private universities’ tuition fees, North South University (NSU) suspended classes till Tuesday while Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) declared Eid vacation till September 26.

Meanwhile, Brac University has declared closure for Monday.

The private universities made the announcement issuing notices on their websites this afternoon.

The NSU notice states, “Due to unavoidable circumstances all classes and exams of NSU have been suspended till Tuesday, the 15th September 2015.”

 

While the IUB notice says: “The university will remain closed from 13th September to 26th September 2015 to observe the Eid-ul-Azha. The University will resume from Sunday, 27th September 2015.”

“Due to unavoidable circumstances BRACU will remain closed on Monday, 14th September 2015,” reads the notice posted on its official website.
