NRB Global Business Convention starts in Sylhet today

A seven-day “NRB Global Business Convention” will start at Abul Maal Abdul Muhit Krira Complex in Sylhet city today.

Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), and British-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry are jointly organising the event which will end on October 27.

Non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) from 19 countries, including the United Kingdom, Russia, Sweden, Canada, France, US, Spain, Italy, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia, are participating in the convention, said the organisers.

SCCI President Khandakar Shipar Ahmed said the convention aims to attract NRBs to invest in various business sectors, including tourism, to help the country achieve more economic growth.
