No scope for enjoying ill-gotten wealth: ACC DG

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Director General Munir Chowdhury today warned there will be no scope for the corrupt to enjoy their ill-gotten wealth.

Speaking at a meeting with the ACC officials at its conference room, he asked them to conduct anti-corruption drives without any fear.

Munir Chowdhury said arresting big fishes (graft suspects) is not enough, but steps should be taken to confiscate the wealth they have accumulated through corruption.

He observed that the ACC officials must keep themselves away from corruption if the commission’s existing anti-corruption drives could be made successful.

“Nobody will be spared if he or she is involved in graft. All small and big fishes will be caught,” the ACC DG (admin) added.
