Youth killed in Dhaka’s Shah Ali area

A youth was killed by unidentified persons in Dhaka's Shah Ali area last night.

The deceased was identified as Munna (19). A resident of Narail Sadar upazila, he came to Dhaka yesterday to visit his friend Rahmat, police said.

The body was found near the DESCO office in Mirpur-1. On information from locals, police rushed to the spot around 6:00am and sent the body to Shaheed Suhrawardi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Sub-inspector Matiur Rahman of Shah Ali Police Station.

"We are trying to collect CCTV footage of the nearby areas to learn details," the SI said.

Morgue sources said the body bore injury marks.
