Work to materialise ‘Sonar Bangla’

Law minister urges all

Law Minister Anisul Huq yesterday said those who could not accept Bangabandhu yet have no right to do politics in Bangladesh.

“This should be our oath,” he said while speaking at a discussion as the guest of honour. Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote organised the event at Jatiya Press Club, marking Bangabandhu’s Homecoming Day.

He said Bangabandhu rebuilt Bangladesh in three and a half years, and dreamt of turning it into “Sonar Bangla”.

The minister said people of the country owe it to Bangabandhu and now is the time to pay off that debt by working together towards achieving his dream.

The Jote’s central committee president Tarana Halim presided over the meeting, where president of parliamentary standing committee on commerce ministry and former commerce minister Tofail Ahmed also spoke.
