Woman’s body recovered from coast

A woman was found dead on the coast of Bay of Bengal in Chattogram yesterday.

On information from locals, police recovered the body from the spot in Banshkhali upazila.

The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately, said Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Banshkhali Police Station.

The body floated to coast at high tide and it was recovered during low tide, he said.

The body was sent to Chittagong Medical College morgue for autopsy, he added.
