Woman held with 2,000 yaba pills

Detectives of Rangpur Metropolitan Police arrested a woman and seized 2,000 yaba pills worth Tk 8 lakh from her possession in the city on Friday.

The arrestee was identified as Parman Khatun, 55, wife of Azhar Ali of Phulbari upazila in Kurigram district, said Md Altaf Hossain, assistant commissioner of DB at RMP. 

Tipped off, they raided Parkermor area in the city and arrested the woman with the contraband drug.

A case was filed in this connection.
