Woman found dead in Savar

Police yesterday recovered the hanging body of a woman from her rented house in Jamshing area in Savar.

The deceased was identified as Jessy Islam, 27, an economics graduate from Jahangirnagar University.

On information, police broke open the door and found the body hanging from the ceiling, said AFM Sayeed, officer in-charge of Savar Police Station.

Her body was handed over to family members without an autopsy as they did not want to file any case, the OC added.
