Woman found dead in Gazipur

Police yesterday recovered an unidentified woman's body hanging inside a bamboo grove in Gazipur's Kapasia upazila.

Abu Bakar Siddique, officer-in-charge of Kapasia Police Station, said some pieces of her outfit were found lying 100 yards away from the body.

“We assume she was raped and killed elsewhere and the body was dumped here,” the OC said.

The body, that bore injury marks, was sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
