Woman dies after brick chips fall on her at Kamrangirchar

A woman died after brick chips from a building fell on her at Kamrangirchar area in the capital this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Rashida Begum (30), a resident of Munshihati area.

The accident took place around 11:30am when Rashida was going to a nearby tea stall owned by her husband.

She suffered severe injuries to her head after brick chips fell from a three-storey building in the area, Rashida's husband Alamgir Hossain said.

She was declared dead around 2:00pm after she was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, her husband told The Daily Star.

ABM Mashiur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Kamrangirchar Police Station said loose bricks fell from the roof as the building is quite old.
