Unite against autocratic government: Juktrofront

The youth will have to be united to change the current state of the country, said Juktofront leaders yesterday.

They were addressing a programme titled “Plan B-positive” organised by Projonmo Bangladesh, a youth platform, at a city hotel.

Through their leadership in the recent protests demanding safe road and quota reform, the youth have proved that the current political situation of the country can change, speakers said.

The young generation has lost interest in politics, said Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh President Prof AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury. “Youths will have to be united for bringing positive change to the country.”

ASM Abdur Rob, chief of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), urged all to unite against the “autocratic government” and to stop the ongoing repression and enforced disappearances.

Mahmudur Rahman Manna, convener of Nagorik Oikya, said a sense of fear has covered the masses due to misrule of the present government.

“But it is historical truth that people of this country know how to turnaround and fight against autocratic government,” he also said.
