Umme Shahara Bari passes away

Umme Shahara Bari, 83, passed away yesterday at the capital’s Anwer Khan Modern Medical College Hospital.

She was wife of late SA Bari, former deputy prime minister of Bangladesh during the tenure of late president Ziaur Rahman.

She left behind five daughters, grandchildren and a host of relatives, well-wishers and admirers.

Her namaz-e-janaza will be held today after the Zohr prayers at Mohammadpur Jame Mosque in the capital.
