Two killed in road accidents

Two people were killed in road accidents in two districts on Saturday, according to reports from our correspondents.

In Madaripur, a man was killed as a tractor hit his motorcycle in Sahebermor area of Shibchar upazila on Saturday night.

Farmer Kinai Munshi, 50, from Komlapur village, was declared dead at Shibchar Upazila Health Complex, said police.

Police seized the tractor but the driver fled.

In Dinajpur, a man was killed after being hit by a truck in Chirirbandar upazila the same night.

Porimal Das, 42, son of Bijoy Das from Laldighi village in Chirirbandar, was standing in front of the truck on Dinajpur-Parbatipur road at Hajimor, said Haresul Islam, officer-in-charge of Chirirbandar Police Station.

All of a sudden, another truck rammed the vehicle from behind which hit Porimal, said the OC.

Locals took him to Chirirbandar Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
