Two held with firearms in Ctg

Police yesterday arrested two youths with firearms in port city's Chandgaon area. The arrestees are Surya Chakma, 23, and Mintu Chakma, 27.

OC Abul Basher of Chandgaon Police Station said police arrested the duo along with two firearms and five rounds of bullets at a house in C&B Tek Bazar area in the morning.

During primary interrogation, they introduced themselves as members of MN Larma-led Jana Samhati Samity (JSS), said the OC. “We're verifying their claim,” he said, adding that a case was filed.
