Two held with 23,600 yaba pills

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-7) in a drive yesterday arrested two persons with 23,620 yaba pills from Chattogram's Nimtala area.

The arrestees are Md Selim alias Hossain, 35, and Md Sohel, 28.

Mashkur Rahman, assistant director of Rab-7 media wing, said after being informed, a Rab team intercepted a Dhaka-bound truck coming from Cox's Bazar and detained the duo.

Based on their confession, Rab seized the pills worth Tk 1.18 crore from a secret chamber inside the truck, said AD Mashkur.

They were handed over to Bandar Police Station. A case was filed.
