Truck kills 3 in Tangail

Three youths were killed after a truck hit a motorcycle at Nagarpur upazila yesterday.

The deceased are Shuvo Akter Sunny (18), Momota Hiya Sukonya (15), and Bappy Ahmed (22). They were all riding on the same bike.

Bahalul Khan, Inspector of Nagarpur Police Station, said the accident took place on the Nagarpur-Aricha regional highway at Daspara area around morning. The collision left all passengers of the bike dead.

Upon information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to Tangail General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police seized the truck but its driver managed to flee, the official added.
