Tk 4.366cr pension disbursed among 39 BCC employees

The Barishal City Corporation authorities disbursed Tk 4.366 crore pension and gratuity among 39 of its retired staff members on Saturday night.

BCC Mayor Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah handed over the money to those retired from 2005 to 2019, during a ceremony at his office-cum-residence in the city. Deputy Commissioner SM Ajoir Rahman was present as a special guest.

The BCC mayor said they will pay all the dues gradually.

Official sources said the disbursement of pension among BCC regular employees had remained halted for six years.
