Ticketing system for public transports in Dhaka after Eid: DSCC mayor

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon today said that the ticketing system would be launched for public transports in Dhaka city after the Eid-ul Fitr.

“We will introduce the system after the observance of the Eid-ul Fitr,” the DSCC mayor said adding that no city dwellers would be allowed in the public bus without a ticket.

The DSCC mayor was talking to reporters after a meeting with bus routes rationalisation committee at his office this afternoon.

Directives will be given to the concerned authorities so that the effort is executed after the Eid, the DSCC mayor said.

The ticket counter of all the public transports will be set up at a specific place so that the space for pedestrians is not occupied, he added.

Circular bus service from Uttara area of the capital like that of the Dhanmondi circular bus service will be introduced from May 27, he said.

Later, the similar bus service will be introduced in Motijheel and Sadarghat area, the mayor said.
