Technovation 2.0 concludes at NSU

North South University (NSU) in collaboration with the university’s Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) student chapter, organised the closing ceremony of the four-day long national technology fest titled Technovation 2.0 on Monday.

Held at the university’s campus in the capital Bashundhara, this is the flagship event of NSU ACM, said a press release.

The competition included app designing, robotics, and gaming for computer science and engineering students at university level. Around 1,000 students from 45 universities and 10 colleges participated. The gold sponsor was Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited.

Salman F Rahman, private industry and investment advisor to the Prime Minister, and co-founder and chairperson of Beximco Group was present as chief guest at the event while Freedom Fighter Benajir Ahmed, chairperson of NSU board of trustees was special guest. Pro Vice Chancellor of NSU, Professor M Ismail Hossain presided over the programme.

Salman F Rahman said in his speech, “I think these initiatives are incredibly important to meet the challenges of fourth industrial revolution.” 

Among others, Mahbubul Alam, managing director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, deans of different schools, directors of various departments, teachers and students were present at the event.
