Syed Amjad Husain passes away

Syed Amjad Husain, younger brother of the late poet and litterateur Syed Shamsul Haq, and son of late Syed Siddique Hossain and late Halima Khatun, passed away at his residence in Luxmibazar in old Dhaka on Tuesday, aged 80, said a press release.

He left behind his wife Sahana Husain, two daughters Bornita Syed-Haq and Mononita Syed-Haq, son Faisal Syed-Haq and four grandchildren to mourn his death.

He will be buried in Banani Graveyard after a namaz-e-janaza will be held at Shahi Masjid in Luxmibazar tomorrow after Jummah prayers.
