Sharp rise in crime due to worsening law and order: Fakhrul

BNP yesterday alleged that incidents of killing, rape and other crimes have seen a sharp rise, due to a serious slide in law and order situation.

“They [the government] has created an anarchic situation across the country. Law and order have collapsed; now we see people are being stabbed to death in broad daylight,” said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

Speaking at a human chain in front of Jatiya Press Club, he further said incidents of rape, robbery and plundering are growing, and people have no security of their lives due to deteriorating law and order.

BNP’s Dhaka south city unit arranged the programme demanding release of its Chairperson Khaleda Zia and another leader Habibun Nabi Khan Sohel.
