Senior journo Belal hospitalised

Senior journalist Shamsul Alam Belal, city editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), has been hospitalised after suffering a heart attack.

Belal was taken to the Ibn Sina Specialised Hospital in Dhanmondi, Dhaka after falling seriously ill on August 31 evening. He was moved to Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital and Research Institute in Shahbagh the next day, where he is currently undergoing treatment at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
