Salauddin Quader a 'Shaheed'!

A group of Bangladesh Chhatra League men on Friday afternoon tore the marker from the grave of executed war criminal Salauddin Quader Chowdhury as it mentioned him as a “Shaheed” (martyr).

BCL central committee's General Secretary Golam Rabbani went to Chattogram's Raozan upazila to attend an event and came to know about the grave-marker.

He, along with some BCL men, went to the grave and destroyed it.

Rabbani could not be reached over the phone for comments.

However, a video in his Facebook account showed that he and the BCL men ripped the marker apart.

In the post, he said terming a war criminal "Shaheed" is tantamount to defaming the word.

He also said BCL activists in Chattogram should have taken the step earlier.
