Ruet student found dead at mess

A student of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (Ruet) was found dead at a mess in the city today.

The deceased, Shakkhor Saha, son of Sapad Saha -- hailing from Faridpur Sadar upazila -- was a 15th batch student of Ruet civil engineering department, reports our Rajshahi University correspondent quoting Prof Kamruzzaman, head of the department.

Fellow residents of the mess knocked on Shakkhor's door around 12pm today, but getting no response, his friends broke the lock of the room and found him unconscious on the floor.

They took him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, said Prof Rabiul Awal, director of Ruet students' office.
