RUCSU POLLS: Discussions to begin on Feb 7

Discussions with students’ organisations on holding the Rajshahi University Central Students Union (Rucsu) election will begin on February 7, Rajshahi University (RU) authorities said yesterday.

Confirming the matter to The Daily Star, RU Proctor Prof Lutfor Rahman said, the decision to begin the discussion on February 7 was taken in a meeting yesterday.

Prof Lutfor, also convener of the discussion committee, said that they will begin the discussion by holding talks with Bangladesh Chhatra Federation at 3:30pm on Thursday.

Dr Laila Arjuman Banu, a member of the committee, said that active social and volunteer organisations of RU can also submit their relevant documents within next seven days to participate in the talks.

Earlier, from January 22 to January 29, 10 students’ organisation submitted their documents to the RU authority for participating in the discussion regarding Rucsu election.
