Rotary annual programmes announced

Rotary Governor M Khairul Alam  yesterday announced its annual programmes for 2019-2020 in a press conference at Jatiya Press Club, said a press release.

The governor said Rotary spent US $1.3 billion so far to eradicate polio.

He said 13 lakh Rotarians from 200 countries and about two crore volunteers are working in the service.

The governor said Rotary will implement various welfare programmes including health, education, sanitation, poverty eradication and employment of youth in 2019-2020.

Former governor AFM Alamgir, Hafizullah, Governor (elect) Md Rubayat Hossain, Deputy Governor Abul Khair Chowdhury and Rotarian Swadesh Devnath also spoke at the conference.

Former Rotary governor M Jamal Uddin, KM Zainul Abedin, Akm Shamsul Huda, Ishtiaque Zaman, Sam Showket Hossain, District Secretary Rafiqul Hasan, Nurun Nessa Begum, Abdus Salek, Rtn Tofazzul Hossain Himu, Hosne Ara Poly, Iqbal Mahmud and other leaders attended the press conference.
