Road crashes kill 3
Three people were killed in road accidents in three districts yesterday, according to reports from our correspondents.
In Dinajpur, a man was killed as a truck hit his bicycle in Phulbari upazila.
Amin Mondal Tudu, 70, from Sahbaj-Kamarpara village in Birampur, died on the spot, said police.
In Rajbari, a battery-run auto-rickshaw hit a woman in Gangaproshadpur area of Sadar upazila. Omala Begum, 70, from Boro Lxmipur village in the upazila, died instantly, Mohammad Mamun, sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station, quoted locals as saying.
In Natore, a college student was killed on the spot as an auto-rickshaw ran him over while he was crossing a road in the town's Harishapur area.
Shimil Hossan, 17, son of Fanu Talukdar from Chachkoir village in Gurudaspur upazila, was a student of Chalonbeel Degree College in the area, said police.
